Dates shown here are based on previous year patterns (2024–2025 DTE Maharashtra schedule). Official 2026 dates will be announced by the State CET Cell on cetcell.mahacet.org. Check the portal regularly for updates.
MHT-CET 2026 online registration opens on the State CET Cell portal. Fill the application form, upload documents, pay the fee, and download your admit card.
Online registration portal opens on cetcell.mahacet.org. Fill personal, academic, and category details. Upload scanned documents (photo, signature, HSC marksheet preview, domicile, caste certificate if applicable). Pay the application fee online.
Action Items
Last day to submit the MHT-CET 2026 application form. Late submissions are not accepted under any circumstances. Verify all details before final submission — name, DOB, category, exam group (PCM / PCB).
Action Items
Admit cards released on the CET Cell portal. Download and print TWO copies. Check your exam centre, date, shift, and group (PCM / PCB). Carry a valid photo ID to the exam centre.
Action Items
MHT-CET 2026 is conducted in two sessions. Session 1 in April covers PCM and PCB groups. Session 2 in May is for candidates appearing in both groups or seeking a re-attempt. Each paper is 3 hours with 100 marks per subject.
Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics papers for engineering aspirants. 100 MCQs per subject, 3 hours total. Mathematics carries 2 marks per correct answer (no negative marking); Physics and Chemistry carry 1 mark each.
Action Items
Physics + Chemistry + Biology papers for pharmacy / medical aspirants. Same marking scheme: Biology 100 marks, Physics 100, Chemistry 100. Required for B.Pharm admissions in Maharashtra.
Action Items
Second session for PCB candidates who want a re-attempt or could not appear in Session 1. The higher of the two session scores is considered for the final merit list.
Action Items
Second session for PCM candidates who want a re-attempt or could not appear in Session 1. Best score across sessions is used for merit list preparation.
Action Items
Provisional answer keys are released 3–4 days after each session. Objections can be raised online within a window. Final answer keys and result declaration follow.
Provisional answer key for PCB group released. Candidates can challenge any question by paying ₹1,000 per objection (refundable if challenge is valid). Objection window typically 3–5 days.
Action Items
Provisional answer key for PCM group released. Same objection process as PCB. Final answer key is published ~2 weeks later after reviewing all challenges.
Action Items
PCB results announced on cetcell.mahacet.org. Download scorecard with subject-wise marks, percentile, and state rank. Required for B.Pharm admissions through CAP.
Action Items
PCM results announced. Download scorecard with PCM marks, percentile, and state merit rank. This rank is the basis for engineering CAP allotments. Use GetCAP predictor to check college chances.
Action Items
Four online CAP rounds conducted by DTE Maharashtra for engineering admissions. Each round: option form filling → allotment → seat acceptance (FREEZE / SLIDE / FLOAT) → reporting to institute / FC.
CET Cell opens CAP registration for engineering admissions. Register separately from MHT-CET exam registration. Fill fresh application, upload documents, choose Home University & category.
Action Items
Visit a Facilitation Center (FC) for document verification. Carry all originals + 2 photocopies. FC uploads verified documents to portal and gives acknowledgement receipt. Without FC verification, you cannot participate in CAP.
Action Items
Provisional state merit list published. Check your rank and category merit. Raise grievance within window if any discrepancy. Final merit list is published after grievance resolution.
Action Items
Fill up to 300 college+branch preferences in order of priority. Order MATTERS — most preferred first. Use GetCAP predictor to arrange realistically. Edit window before final lock.
Action Items
Round 1 seat allotment published. Check allotted college + branch. Pay seat acceptance fee (~₹1,000). Choose FREEZE / SLIDE / FLOAT. Report to FC for confirmation.
Action Items
Report to the FC (and to the allotted institute if you FREEZE) within the deadline (typically 2–3 days). Carry originals + allotment letter + fee receipt. Missing the deadline cancels your seat.
Action Items
For candidates who did not get a seat, did not accept, or chose FLOAT/SLIDE in Round 1. Fresh vacancy matrix published. Auto-upgradation for FLOAT candidates. Same FREEZE / SLIDE / FLOAT options.
Action Items
Vacancies from surrendered seats (JEE Advanced, BITS, NRI moves) open up. Often the "hidden gems" round — even top colleges may have seats in less popular branches. Re-order preferences based on vacancy data.
Action Items
NEW: A 4th CAP round introduced in 2025 to mop up remaining vacancies. Fully online via cetcell.mahacet.org. Same FREEZE / SLIDE / FLOAT mechanism. Do NOT skip — many good seats open up here.
Action Items
Final institute-level spot round for any vacant seats after CAP Round 4. Then academic session begins at all engineering colleges across Maharashtra.
Conducted at the institute (college) level for any vacant seats after CAP Round 4. NO centralized online allotment. Visit colleges individually with all originals + DD for fees. First-come-first-served basis.
Action Items
First-year engineering classes begin at all colleges across Maharashtra. Attend the orientation programme. Complete any pending admission formalities (hostel, ID card, library) before classes start.

Don't miss these critical deadlines
Apply for MHT-CET the moment the portal opens — late submissions are rarely accepted.
Scan all documents (10th, 12th, domicile, caste, income) before registration opens.
Fill all 300 options in CAP — locking fewer choices limits your allotment chances.
Always confirm admission before the deadline. Unconfirmed seats are auto-cancelled.
Document verification at the Facilitation Center is mandatory — do not skip.
After seat acceptance, report to the institute within 2–3 days with originals + fees.
