• Seat matrix changes: DTE may add, remove, or redistribute seats across colleges and branches each year.
• Shifting preferences: Student preferences for specific branches and colleges change over time based on industry trends and placement data.
• New colleges and branches: New institutions or programs may be introduced that are not reflected in historical data.
• Policy changes: Changes in reservation policies, eligibility criteria, or admission rules by DTE can significantly impact cutoffs.

We recommend using GetCAP predictions as one of several inputsin your college decision-making process, along with official notifications, counseling from teachers/mentors, and your own research.

While we take pride in maintaining a comprehensive dataset, please be aware of the following limitations:

• Our dataset contains 295,156 records from 2022–2025. While substantial, it may not capture every single admission across every college and branch.
• Data is sourced from publicly available DTE Maharashtra allotment results. There may be transcription errors or data processing discrepancies.
• Some newer colleges or recently introduced branches may have limited historical data, reducing prediction confidence.
• AI-generated responses from our CAP Saathi counselor may occasionally produce inaccurate or outdated information. Always verify critical details independently.

GetCAP is designed and intended solely for educational and informational purposes. Specifically:

• Predictions are meant to help students understand their approximate admission chances and make informed choices when filling out their CAP Round option forms.
