GetCAP is a free, data-driven college prediction platform built by ScienceGear to help Maharashtra engineering aspirants make informed admission decisions. We turn 295,156 real DTE cutoff recordsfrom 2022–2025 into personalized predictions, CAP round strategy, and AI-powered counseling — all in one place, with no sign-up required.
GetCAP was born in 2025 out of a frustration every Maharashtra engineering aspirant knows too well: staring at a 300-preference option form with no clear idea which colleges to put where, relying on WhatsApp forwards from seniors who graduated three years ago, and refreshing random blogs that haven't been updated since 2021.
Our team at ScienceGearwent through the exact same process — the late-night cutoff PDFs, the second-guessing after each CAP round allotment, the regret of filling the wrong preference in slot 47. We knew there had to be a better way than guessing. So we built it.
Today, GetCAP is a complete admission toolkit: a college predictor powered by 295,156 real DTE Maharashtra cutoff records, a form-based personal counselor, an option-form builder, a CAP rounds guide updated for the new 4 CAP Rounds + 1 Spot Roundformat introduced in 2025, a scholarship tracker, a career quiz, and a suite of utility tools — all completely free, with no account required.
ScienceGear is an India-based student tech initiative that builds free, data-driven tools for Indian students. GetCAP is our flagship product for MHT-CET admissions.
Admission decisions shape careers. We believe every student deserves access to the same data-driven clarity, regardless of background or budget.
To give every MHT-CET aspirant free, transparent, data-backed insight into their college admission chances — replacing guesswork, rumors, and outdated blog posts with real numbers from real DTE Maharashtra cutoff records. We want students to fill their option form with confidence, not anxiety. Every prediction we show is grounded in four years of historical allotment data (2022–2025), normalized across institute-code changes and category renames so the trends we surface actually mean something.
A future where every Indian student makes their most important academic decisions with full visibility — not just the few who can afford private counselors. We're starting with MHT-CET engineering admissions in Maharashtra, but our long-term goal is to cover every major entrance exam in India: JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET, GATE, CLAT, CUET, and more. Same principle: real data, transparent methodology, free for every student, forever. We measure our success by how many students we help, not by how much we charge.
A transparent pipeline you can trust
Input your MHT-CET 2026 rank or percentile, category, gender, home university, and preferred branch. Optional filters for district and quota.
Our engine cross-references your inputs against 295,156 historical cutoff records spanning 2022–2025, weighted toward more recent years.
Each college is bucketed into Safe, Target, or Reach tiers based on rank buffer. CAP round-wise probabilities are computed for each.
Build your option form, talk to the AI counselor, track scholarships, and walk into CAP rounds knowing exactly what to expect.
Transparency is at the core of everything we do
Every cutoff number on GetCAP is sourced from publicly released DTE Maharashtra CAP Round allotment data. We compile the official "Provisional Allotment List" PDFs published after each CAP round (Rounds 1–4 plus the Spot Round) for the admission years 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. This gives us 295,156 individual cutoff records— one per (college × branch × category × round × year) combination. We do not estimate, simulate, or fabricate cutoffs. Every number you see on a college page is a real allotment from a real round.
DTE Maharashtra occasionally changes institute codes and category names between years — for example, a college that was code 6271 in 2023 became 06271 in 2024, and the category GOPENS in 2024 corresponds to GOPENO + GOPENH in earlier years. Our code-utils module normalizes these variants so the same college is treated as one institute across all four years of data, and renamed branches are reconciled so trends stay comparable.
Predictions use a weighted trend model: recent years carry more weight than older years (so 2025 data influences the 2026 prediction more than 2022 data). For each college × branch × category combination, we compute an expected 2026 cutoff rank, then bucket your rank into Safe(>5,000 rank buffer above the expected cutoff), Target (within ~5,000 ranks), or Reach (your rank is below the expected cutoff but possible in later rounds). We also show CAP round-wise probabilities so you know which round is your best shot.
Important: All predictions are estimates based on historical data. Actual 2026 cutoffs may vary due to changes in seat matrix, exam difficulty, candidate preferences, and DTE policies. GetCAP is an independent educational tool and is not affiliated with DTE Maharashtra or any government body. Always verify critical decisions with official sources.

Your prediction queries are not permanently stored. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing. Read our Privacy Policy for the full details.
Our models improve with every new admission cycle. When 2026 cutoffs are released, we update the dataset within days so 2027 predictions are even sharper.
Built by someone who sat in the same CAP Round waiting room as you
“I faced the struggle of MHT-CET CAP rounds during the 2025 session. Having a 99.5 percentile made it easy for me, but my friend with a lower percentile had no access to high-quality, free tools. Seeing other predictors hide results behind paywalls and collect private parent details, I decided to build GetCAP as a free predictor for everyone.”
GetCAP is a free, data-driven platform built by ScienceGear for Maharashtra engineering aspirants. We turn 295,000+ real DTE cutoff records into personalized college predictions, CAP round strategy, and AI-powered admission counseling — all in one place, with no sign-up required.
GetCAP (short for Get CAP Round) is a free MHT-CET college predictor designed specifically for engineering admissions in Maharashtra. Whether you're targeting COEP Pune, VJTI Mumbai, PICT, Walchand Sangli or any of the 705+ approved institutes across the state, GetCAP helps you understand exactly where your rank can take you. Our database contains 295,156 real DTE Maharashtra cutoff recordsspanning four admission years (2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025), covering 129 distinct engineering branches and every reservation category — Open, OBC, SC, ST, VJ, NT-A/B/C/D, EWS, TFWS, and PWD/Defence sub-categories. Enter your MHT-CET 2026 rank or percentile, pick your category and seat type (Maharashtra State, All India, J&K, OCI/PIO), and our algorithm analyzes four years of historical cutoffs using a weighted trend model. Recent years carry more weight, so the prediction reflects the latest admission pattern — not a stale four-year average. You'll receive three personalized tiers: Safe colleges (where your rank beats the closing rank comfortably), Target colleges (a realistic match based on recent trends), and Reach colleges (worth including in your option form as a long-shot). Each prediction also breaks down expected chances across all CAP rounds — including the Spot Round — so you know exactly which round to bank on.
Browse the complete list of 129 engineering branches — from Computer Engineering, Information Technology, AI & Data Science, and Electronics & Telecommunication (ENTC) to niche streams like VLSI Design, Robotics & Automation, Textile Technology, and Petrochemical Engineering. The branch explorer is fully searchable: type full names or short forms like CS, IT, ENTC, AI&ML, EEE, Mech, Civiland our smart scoring engine instantly ranks matching branches by relevance. Each college page shows every branch it offers, with year-by-year cutoff trends, total CAP seats, round-wise closing ranks, and direct links to the institute's official website.
Not sure which branch fits you? The AI Counseloranswers your admission questions 24/7, grounded in the same cutoff dataset that powers the predictor. Once you're ready, the Option Form Builderhelps you assemble a CAP preference list that follows DTE's recommended Safe → Target → Reach ordering. The Career Quiz suggests branches aligned with your interests, while the Scholarships tracker surfaces financial aid opportunities you may qualify for. Everything is free, mobile-friendly, and works without any sign-up required.
GetCAP covers every AICTE-approved engineering college in Maharashtra that participates in the MHT-CET Centralized Admission Process (CAP). This includes all 705+ institutes across 36 districts— from Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, and Nagpur to Aurangabad (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar), Amravati, Kolhapur, and smaller cities like Latur, Nanded, and Jalgaon. We have cutoff data for every reservation category (Open, OBC, SC, ST, VJ, NT-A, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D, SBC, EWS, TFWS, PwD, Defence, OCI/PIO, J&K) and both Maharashtra State (MS) and All India (AI) quotas. Whether you're aiming for tier-1 colleges like COEP, VJTI, PICT, SPCE, Walchand, or considering tier-2/3 colleges as your Safe picks, the data is here.
Every cutoff number on GetCAP is sourced from publicly released DTE Maharashtra CAP round allotment data. We normalize institute codes across years (so a college that changed from code 6271 to 06271 between 2023 and 2024 is still treated as one institute), reconcile renamed branches, and reconcile category name changes (GOPENS in 2024 equals GOPENO + GOPENH in 2022). The platform is updated annually after each CAP round concludes, so 2026 predictions are based on the freshest data available. GetCAP is an independent educational tool and is not affiliated with DTE Maharashtra or any government body. Always verify critical admission decisions with the official DTE Maharashtra website.
